Our mission	To provide a multipurpose senior center from which services and activities are provided on-site or by referral to meet the needs of senior citizens in Fairborn and Bath Township Area.

Opportunities	Activity Leads These volunteers simply ensure their activity is ready and to turn in sign-up sheets and collect activity fee to ensure it is given to the finance department. Occasional, Weekly, Monthly 21+, 55+, Adults Individuals, Groups (2-10), Families Event support, Indoor None Weekdays, Evenings, Weekends Food Bank On the 3rd Tuesday of every month the Dayton Food Bank come to the Fairborn Senior Center. We always need volunteers to help pass out food. The Food Bank is open 10:00am – 12:00pm, we ask volunteers to arrive at 9:30am to help. One-time, Occasional, Weekly, Monthly 21+, 55+, Adults Individuals, Groups (2-10) Physical, Indoor None Weekdays Receptionist The receptionist greets members and guests, makes and refills coffee, directs people to departments where they require help. Occasional, Weekly, Monthly 21+, 55+, Adults Individuals Office work On-site Weekdays, Evenings, Weekends Kitchen Help While we do have paid staff that work in the kitchen and can usually take care of food prep and creation; we may still need help. If you are interested in helping in the kitchen, please let a staff member know. Occasional, Weekly, Monthly 21+, 55+, Adults Individuals, Groups (2-10) Physical, Indoor On-site Weekdays, Evenings, Weekends Lawn Care The center has a zero-turning radius mower and other lawn care equipment available. You can either volunteer to work in the yard by mowing, plant care, weeding (weed eating), pruning, etc. Just let a staff member know you’re interested. Mowing needs to be done at least once per week, as does weed eating. One-time, Occasional, Weekly, Monthly 21+, 55+, Adults Individuals, Groups (2-10), Corporate Teams, Families Physical, Outdoor None Weekdays, Evenings, Weekends Drivers We utilize volunteer drivers to transport clients to: medical appointments, grocery shopping, haircuts and other errands. Our volunteer drivers are a huge asset. You can set your availability!! Occasional, Weekly, Monthly 21+, 55+, Adults Individuals Physical, Outdoor None Weekdays, Evenings, Weekends Baked Goods On the 3rd Friday of the month the center has a bake sale. We always need folks to volunteer to make baked goods to be sold during the sale. The proceeds go to purchase an item(s) for the center. The Way and Means & Bake Sale Committees decide what the proceeds go for. Your time preparing, baking and packaging the goods count toward volunteer hours. One-time, Occasional, Weekly, Monthly Teens, 21+, 55+, Adults Individuals, Groups (2-10), Groups (10+), Corporate Teams, Families Event support None Weekdays Staff Assistant Occasionally, members of the staff need help to ensure a project, or a task gets done on time. In these instances, a volunteer makes a huge difference. If you have any clerical, typing, computer or maintenance skills let a staff member know.
