Our mission | The Dayton Philharmonic Volunteer Association was created in 1952 with an ongoing mission to support the Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra in the areas of education, promotion, fundraising and membership development. |

Opportunities |
Scriptwriting: Help prepare PowerPoint scripts and props in committee for school presentations. Scholarship: Support music education through scholarships, or act as room monitors during the spring competitions. Usher: Help seat students at DPO education concerts. Scheduling: From your home, help schedule docent school visits. Auditions: Assist with auditions for youth orchestras. It’s Instrumental: Help collect used instruments from Grismer Tire locations. The instruments are repaired and loaned to school students who can’t provide their own. Family Concerts: Help plan, execute, and/or staff pre-concert activities (costume contests, face painting, etc.) for children prior to DPO Family concerts. Q the Music: Assist string faculty in orchestra and sectionals at Ruskin Elementary. |

About us | Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra has a distinguished place in the Gem City’s history as one of the Miami Valley’s oldest and longest standing cultural institutions. As of July 1, 2012, the DPO is part of the Dayton Performing Arts Alliance. A regional orchestra with 83 contracted musician and rich in artistic tradition, the Philharmonic is proud to call the Benjamin and Marian Schuster ÂPerforming Arts Center its home. |
