Oncology patients at the Dayton VA getting a special gift

Dayton VA Research and Education Foundation

Oncology patients at the Dayton VA getting a special gift, thanks to students at Xenia High School. Today the student council dropped off dozens of care packages for our Veterans. Inside each one is a handmade Christmas card, blanket, socks, scarf, toiletries, coloring book, crosswords, cup and more. Senior Jada McAvene says the students have been giving the care packages for 10 years as part of their Baskets for Battle fundraiser. They want those battling with cancer to know, especially during the holidays, people care about them. Thank you students!
