About us | Violence Free Futures, Inc. was formed as The Greene County Domestic Violence Project in December 1979 in Yellow Springs, Ohio. It was incorporated in 2000 and the nonprofit became known as Family Violence Prevention Centers, Inc. In 2023, the organization was renamed and rebranded as Violence Free Futures, Inc. We work to end family, relationship, and sexual violence and its impact in Greene County through prevention, intervention, collaborative community programs, and safe housing. The agency has grown to provide a full slate of holistic and comprehensive services include a 24-hour crisis hotline, children and youth services, community advocacy, counseling, education, training, and safe housing. Our nonprofit funding depends upon grants, fundraising, and contributions from individuals, businesses, corporations, foundations, government agencies, and local organizations. Violence Free Futures is a United Way Partner Agency, a contract agency with the Mental Health & Recovery Board of Greene County. Violence Free Futures has earned the Council on Accreditation’s prestigious rating since 2004, and has held this ranking for over two decades. |
