BOH Success Story

Senior pictures, class projects, college searches, and graduation….these are a few of the wonderful and exciting events a high school senior experiences.
But for Roger, he finds himself in a homeless shelter, still attending school and depending on friends for rides to school help him maintain his grades. When Roger turned 18 he left a home filled with unhealthy dynamics and came to Bridges of Hope for safety. It did not take long for our staff to connect Roger with retired military volunteers and local church members. As they spent time getting to know Roger they began praying and searching for a home setting for Roger so that he could complete school and then continue with his military plans.
Gary, a local teacher, was willing to open his home and heart to Roger. With joy, in a short time, Roger moved from BOH into this home.
While he is still struggling with the dynamics that brought him to us in the first place, he now has support, men who are building into his life and walking beside him through his struggles, as well as helping to prepare him for the future and his goals of a military life. He even has a new puppy!
Please pray for this young man, that God will work to heal his heart and place in him the true HOPE for a future.
Will you help us reach our year end goal so that we can be open 24/7 in 2022 so that we can help more like Roger? http://skbridgesofhope.org/donate/
