How you help

The Dayton Equity Center is centered on the belief that a community is only strong when everyone brings what they have to give. Together, we can do more than we can do alone. There are many ways to join us and support our mission.

About us

From conversation amongst the Pastor of Mckinley United Methodist Church, Peter Edward Matthews, and three pillars of the church, John E. Moore, Sr., Raymond Hummons, Sr., and Lisa Turner came the Dayton Equity Center. Late nights and long days from January of 2017 led us to begin programming inspired by the legacy of John Moore Sr. We continue the legacy of Mr. Moore and many others by intentionally listening to the community and involving local partners.
