Today is race day at the #WinterSportsClinic! Veterans will take the new skills they’ve overcome this week and put them to the test against one another to see who the fastest adaptive skier on the mountain will be. Thanks to @Sports4vets for co-hosting the clinic with DAV!
April 6, 1917, marks the beginning of America’s involvement in WWI. Three years later in 1920, disabled WWI veterans, including DAV founder Robert Marx, saw a need for an organization to protect service members as they struggled to reintegrate into society, and DAV was founded.
