Our mission	The mission of Springfield Christian Youth Ministries (SCYM) is to help city school students grow in healthy directions spiritually, educationally, socially, and physically.

Opportunities	Food Prep Responsible for preparing and cleaning up after breakfast and lunch for entire camp. Does not need to set menu. Camp sessions are 5 days and we would love for volunteers to be available for most or all of a session. One-time, Weekly Teens, 55+, Adults Indoor On-site Weekdays Classroom Assistant Responsible for helping and supporting classroom teachers. Volunteer would be needed daily for the duration of a camp session (5 days). One-time Teens, 55+, Adults Individuals Indoor On-site Weekdays Classroom Teacher Responsible for teaching topic and Bible lesson to a class of 10-15 students. Curriculum is provided and personal touches/tweaks are encouraged. Each classroom teacher will have at least one adult assistant. Volunteer would be needed daily for the duration of a camp session (5 days). One-time Teens, 55+, Adults Individuals Indoor On-site Weekdays, Weekends Check-In Responsible for greeting families and signing students in each morning, registering walk-ins, and collecting attendance. Camp session are 5 days and we would love if volunteers are available for most or all of a session. One-time, Occasional Teens, 55+, Adults Individuals Indoor On-site Weekdays Middle School Task Force For middle school students only. Responsible for assisting staff/teachers as needed. This could include things such as making copies, delivering meals, collecting attendance, taking pictures/video, etc. Occasional, Weekly 12-15 Individuals Indoor On-site Weekdays

How you help	SCYM utilizes the help of more than 300 volunteers dedicated to “helping kids crush the odds with the love of God.”

About us	Springfield City Youth Mission (SCYM) began in 1998 when a group of concerned ministers and other community leaders recognized a critical need and came together to develop a Christian ministry that would reach out to at-risk children and youth living in Springfield. SCYM now serves over 600 elementary and middle school students city-wide each year.
