How you help We couldn't do what we do without Volunteers to help transport the dogs or Foster Families for the dogs.
About us OPEN ARMS POUND RESCUE works to facilitate the rescue or adoption of dogs in Ohio pounds, primarily but not exclusively those in northwestern Ohio. We assist rescues to pull dogs, arrange vetting, and coordinate transport. We screen potential adopters of pound dogs. Occasionally we have dogs who have already been pulled available for placement in approved adoptive homes. Those dogs will already have been fully vaccinated, placed on heartworm preventative, and spayed or neutered. At Open Arms Pound Rescue, we believe very strongly that if we assist in moving a dog, that dog must be going into a safer and happier environment than the one he left.
