Opportunities	Special events Assist with the planning and execution of fundraisers such as Walk to End Alzheimer’s, The Longest Day and Memory Day, Committee member tasks include recruiting team members, raising revenue, increasing awareness and implementing event activities. One-time, Occasional Teens, 55+, Adults Individuals, Groups (2-10), Families Event support None, On-site, Skilled Evenings, Weekends Advocacy Help improve the quality of care and quality of life for people with Alzheimer’s disease and their families by carrying our message to elected officials at the federal, state and local levels. Communicate with elected officials via letters, phone calls and other calls-to-action, participate in area events and share your story. More information – click here. Ongoing Adults Individuals Writing, Indoor Anytime Community Representative Attend local health fairs, social events, sporting events, charity campaigns and other public venues to provide information about Alzheimer’s disease, our programs and services, and ways to help in the fight against Alzheimer’s. This is a great way to learn about Alzheimer’s and serve your community. Training and materials provided. Locations and times vary. Some events are held outdoors. Friendly and courteous Dependable and prompt Enjoy meeting new people and link them to services and programs of the Association Approximately 4-5 hrs per health fair Click here to view Community Representative Position Description Ongoing Adults In Person Formal Anytime Community Educator Community Educators are volunteers who help the Alzheimer’s Association provide consumer education through in-person and virtual platforms to expand the reach of Association programs in the community. Must be 21 year old to apply. Ongoing Adults Individuals Virtual, Skills-based, Indoor Formal Weekdays, Evenings, Weekends Program Tech Support Program Tech Support volunteers assist Alzheimer’s Association staff and volunteers deliver education and support groups through virtual platforms. Occasional, Monthly 55+, Adults Individuals Indoor Skilled Weekdays Support Group Facilitator Help facilitate support groups that provide emotional, educational and social support to those caring for someone living with Alzheimer’s or another dementia. Weekly, Monthly 55+, Adults Individuals Indoor Formal Weekdays, Evenings, Weekends Faith Outreach Representative Liaisons between the Alzheimer’s Association and local faith groups or congregations. They share information about Alzheimer’s disease, our free resources, and ways to join our cause at local community and education events. Monthly 55+, Adults Individuals Indoor On-site, Formal Weekdays, Evenings, Weekends Physician Outreach Representative Community engagers that raise awareness of Alzheimer’s Association programs and link medical professionals to these services. These volunteers serve as a liaison between the Alzheimer’s Association and local medical professionals. Tasks include direct phone calls to physician offices, preparing direct mailings, delivering information to physician office locations.
