How you helpThe Champaign County Animal Welfare League has an open invitation to any and all people who would like to volunteer.
About usThe Champaign County Animal Welfare League was formed in 2015, after the passing of David Robert Wetzell. Mr. Wetzell’s wish was for his remaining estate to be used to create an organization that focuses on the well being and care of the neglected, unwanted, and abandoned animals of Champaign County, Ohio. His wish was to have a large scale facility that not only rescued animals of all types, but that also provided services to the animals of the community, including a pet cemetery, training and rehabilitation facility, and a low-cost clinic. After finding the appropriate location, a 72-acre farm outside of Mechanicsburg, we diligently began to work on bringing Mr. Wetzell’s vision to life.
