Millcraft Donation Benefits Ohio’s Hospice of Dayton Patient Care and Services

Millcraft recently donated more than $12,000 to Ohio’s Hospice of Dayton through its Buy & Give copy paper purchasing program. Since 2015, Millcraft has donated more than a total of $91,000 to Ohio’s Hospice of Dayton for patient care and services.

“We are so grateful to have community support, like Millcraft, to support end-of-life care,” said Lori Poelking-Igel, president of the Ohio’s Hospice Foundation. “Millcraft’s promise to give $1 back for every carton of copy paper sold is an innovative way to form partnerships with vendors to support local not-for-profit organizations.”

Through its Buy & Give community initiative program, Millcraft, a family-owned merchant that serves the professional paper, packaging, and graphic arts industries, provides businesses the opportunity to support local charities through routine purchases of Buy & Give brand office paper. For every carton of paper purchased, Millcraft donates $1 to the program.

Representatives from Millcraft, including Evan Baker, division manager; Greg Lovensheimer, executive vice president and chief operating officer at Millcraft; and Cory Hartley, operations manager at Millcraft Dayton, presented the check to Poelking-Igel on Nov. 17 at Ohio’s Hospice of Dayton.

“This donation is possible because our Dayton area customers chose to support the Millcraft Charitable Giving Program and purchase 12,930 cartons of Buy & Give copy paper,” Baker said. “To put this in perspective, 12,930 cartons of copy paper will fill up more than 16 tractor trailer trucks.”

The donation from Millcraft will help Ohio’s Hospice of Dayton:

  • Provide superior care and superior services to anyone in the community facing end of life, regardless of ability to pay.
  • Provide grief support at no cost to anyone in the community through its Pathways of Hope℠ Grief Counseling Center.
  • Provide complementary services such as respite care, massage, music and art therapy.
  • Provide palliative care to patients whose chronic disease compromises their quality of life.

“We can’t thank Millcraft enough for the impact this makes on the care we provide,” Poelking-Igel said. “We are blessed to be a 2021 recipient of the Millcraft Buy & Give program, and we want to congratulate Millcraft for all of their hard work in making this program a joint success!”
