When you volunteer at Five Rivers MetroParks, you provide an important public service: You educate and engage park visitors in the protection and stewardship of the natural and cultural heritage of the Miami Valley. More important, you share your passion for nature with future generations.

Volunteers help plan, support and run park events.

Anyone who wants to help make a difference can be a volunteer. You don’t have to love being outdoors or have prior experience. The Park District offers training and a variety of volunteer opportunities to suit your interests and skill set.

Friends of the Library. . . Lend community support to the library and its programs, Promote the library in the community, Support the Children’s Summer Reading Program, Organize the Annual Book Sales, Raise funds for special programs, Help the library with special needs

Providers who want to make a difference in the life of the uninsured in Montgomery County can do so by volunteering once per quarter for an evening clinic

Medical scribes are needed to assist with transcribing providers notes into the patient’s electronic medical record. Medical scribes must be trained through an agency such as ABC Scribes, Elite Medical Scribes, etc.

Specialist providers unable to volunteer in the Reach Out evening clinics who are interested in supporting the uninsured may do so by allowing Reach Out patients to be seen in their offices during regular hours at reduced cost or no cost to the patient.

Volunteer pharmacists with a minimum of R.Ph. are needed during clinic hours to dispense medications to patients following the Reach Out formulary guidelines.
