Volunteering in our headquarter office in Dayton can be comprised of a variety of activities – from data entry and grant-writing to event preparation and planning. Each day can be different and we can almost always use an extra pair of hands!

​Computer/IT, fundraising, marketing, clerical, organizational projects, teaching groups, running fun activities, maintenance for auto or building, filing, food donations, and/or monetary donations.

Assist staff by covering evening and weekend calls to our 24-Hour Crisis Helpline. Volunteers are trained to answer calls and provide peer counseling, support, and referrals to victims who call for help with their situation. Center receptionist/administrative volunteers assist the Center Staff by greeting clients, managing mediation paperwork, and completing a list of administrative duties.

Gathering the incoming messages for the food pantry and calling the clients to schedule their food pickups based on the schedule of the volunteers for that month.
